Chocolate albany gamefowl history12/31/2022 ![]() ![]() According the an interesting gamefowl article written by Lou Elliot in November, 1974: The Kelso bloodline has its very interesting long history that is intertwined with the bloodlines of many famous breeders in the United States of America. The original sweaters are said to be heavy on the Kelso bloodline as they were made up of ¾ Kelso and ¼ Yellow Legged Hatch bloodlines. Most breeders still maintain Kelso bloodlines in their yard as these are proven to be great cutters and “angat sarado” in their fighting styles. George Neal was also known as the breeder of Cecil Davies Kelsos – which are also considered as having the same blood as the “Black Mamba Kelsos” nowadays. These Cecil Davies Kelsos are still being bred in our farm due to their great fighting abilities and good record. Johnnie Jumper got his light Kelso bloodlines from Cecil Davis to breed. It was Cecil Davis who gave Johnnie Jumper his original Radio broodcock as Johnnie also conditions and trains the roosters of Cecil Davis for competitions. The Radios were said to be made of ½ whitehackle blood and ½ Murphy blood. Our DWGF Kelsos came from famous Kelso families like the out and out Kelsos, his 20K Grand Kelsos, together with his Radios which Johnnie had been breeding since 1962. Our Dragon Warrior Kelsos originated from the winning Kelso bloodline families of the great master breeder Johnnie Jumper, Ripley, Mississippi, USA (born in 1931 and died on November 2, 2011), as well as other breeders who got his pure bloodlines and preserved them over the years. ![]()
